UPDATE:

After a series of cryptic Instagram posts, Shakira confirmed she was teasing her new collaboration single with Ozuna.

The Latin star revealed the news on Oct. 8, posting a black-and-white cartoon of a dagger stabbing a heart with the caption "Monotanía 19 oct."

Her clips don't lie.

On Oct. 8, Shakira expressed her pain with cryptic video posted to her Instagram feed. In the clip, a man wearing dress shoes is seen stomping over a human heart as he walks through a busy scene.

She captioned the post, "I never said anything but it hurt. I knew this would happen."

The post followed three Instagram Reels of text being typed out in Spanish, which translated to, "It wasn't your fault nor mine. It was monotony's fault."

The "She Wolf" singer, 45, didn't specify what or who had hurt her, however, the post comes hot-on-the-heels of her split from husband Gerard Piqué

Over the summer, the former couple—who went public with their romance in 2011 and share sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7—announced they were breaking up after more than a decade together.

"We regret to confirm that we are parting ways," they said in a joint statement to E! News on June 4. "For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding."

Three months later, the professional soccer player was spotted getting cozy with 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti at a wedding in Catalonia, Spain, as seen in photos published by the Daily Mail.

Shakira later opened up about the difficulty of going through a public breakup, particularly the task of trying to shield her children from the negativity.

"I try to do it and to protect them, because that's my number one mission in life," she told Elle in September. "But then they hear things in school from their friends or they come across some disagreeable, unpleasant news online, and it just affects them."

Still processing the split itself, Shakira said she often feels like "this is all a bad dream" she will eventually wake up from, but knows in her heart "it's real."

"And what's also real is the disappointment to see something as sacred and as special as I thought was the relationship I had with my kids' father and see that turned into something vulgarized and cheapened by the media," she continued. "And all of this while my dad has been in the ICU and I've been fighting on different fronts."

She added, "This is probably the darkest hour of my life."
