Christina Ricci has called off her engagement to comedian Owen Benjamin, her costar in the aforementioned romantic comedy, which finds a slacker type romancing a neurotic career gal during a modern-day Renaissance fair.
People reports that the duo, who celebrated their betrothed status in March, have been broken up since before last week.
"They talk almost every day," a source said. "It was a very mature decision and they both felt good about it. They're definitely still friends."
A rep for Ricci didn't immediately return E! News' request for comment.
