The erstwhile Girl Next Door is literally following in the footsteps of fellow Dancing With the Stars alum Kelly Monaco, replacing the soap star in Sin City's sultry revue Peepshow.
Madison will headline the show for a roughly three-month run starting in June, according to People. Currently, the production features both Monaco and another DWTS celeb, Spice Girl Melanie Brown.
"I feel like this is perfect for me," Madison tells the magazine. "I've always wanted to be in a really classy, sexy burlesque show."
Madison will remain fully topped in the otherwise topless burlesque show, and play Bo Peep, who develops from timid girl to sensual woman over the course of the production.
Meanwhile, put Underwear Guy on alert as Miley Cyrus has landed a leading man-boy, and Mickey Rourke, Monica Bellucci, Jason Statham, Terry Gilliam, Ed Westwick, Gemma Arterton and David James Elliott round out the day's casting news.
• Mickey Rourke has got a Mona Lisa smile. According to Variety, the Oscar nominee has signed on to star in a remake of the same named 1980s British gangster film as an ex-con turned chauffeur for a high-class call girl. Eva Green is in talks to costar as the pricey escort.
• Gossip Guy Ed Westwick and Bond Girl Gemma Arterton are taking on the classic roles of Heathcliff and Cathy in the latest adaptation of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Arterton replaces Natalie Portman in the role, who pulled out earlier this year. Peter Webber directs.
• Monica Bellucci is bringing her own brand of magic to The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Per Variety, the thesp is set to play a sorceress and the long-lost love of Nicolas Cage in the Jerry Bruckheimer bonanza. The story revolves around a sorcerer who trains young recruits to help battle evil in modern-day Manhattan. The film is set for release on July 16, 2010.
• Jason Statham is returning to his high-octane roots, signing on to star in the action thriller The Killer Elite. According to Variety, the film is based on Ranulph Fiennes' bestselling book The Feathermen. Based on a true story, the film follows a group of former British special forces members who are being hunted by assassins.
• Terry Gilliam is the man for La Mancha. For the second time in nearly a decade, the director has signed on to helm The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. According to Variety, this time around the script revolves around a filmmaker who joins Quixote's quest for love and turns into something of a Sancho Panza. Gilliam is in early talks with Johnny Depp to star. Depp was previously on board for the film's first ill-fated incarnation.
• From J.A.G. to b-e-d. According to the Hollywood Reporter, David James Elliott has signed on to star in Bed & Breakfast, playing an Internet millionaire. Dan Garcia directs the lighthearted flick.
• Little-known (but not for long) actor Liam Hemsworth has been cast opposite Miley Cyrus in the forthcoming adaptation of the yet to be release Nicholas Sparks novel The Last Song. Per the Hollywood Reporter, the Australian Hemsworth, who appeared opposite Cage in Knowing and in Down Under soap Neighbours, will star as a volleyball-playing, Ivy League-bound member of the cool crowd in the town where Cyrus is forced to spend her summer. Cameras roll June 15 in Georgia.
