Emmy Award-winning actress Bea Arthur died Saturday morning at the age of 86, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Arthur had been battling cancer, although her spokesperson declined to give further details about her death.
Arthur was best known for playing Dorothy on the long-running sitcom The Golden Girls, alongside Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, who passed away in July 2008.
