The Material Mom logged some time in a Long Island hospital after falling off her horse during a weekend ride in the Hamptons—an incident her publicist blames on paparazzi.
"The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer," spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg tells E! News. Us Weekly first reported the spill.
The 50-year-old pop icon was released after being treated for "minor injuries and bruises" at a Southampton hospital, says Rosenberg.
It could have been worse. Just ask Madonna.
Back in August 2005, she suffered far more serious injuries after a fall from a horse at her British estate. The music mogul broke her collarbone, cracked three ribs and fractured a hand. To add insult to injury, the mishap took place on her 47th birthday.
