Fall means cozy sweaters, leaves changing color, pumpkin spice everything, and most importantly, time to trade our sandals for boots!

Although we love the easy breezy shoe options that summer gives us, we are without a doubt more passionate about boots come sweater weather. There's something about wearing a pair of knee-high boots or suede booties that makes us feel invincible. Perhaps it's the extra inches us short people get or the cozy feeling a boot provides, regardless, we can always justify a new pair of boots.

This fall, there's not just one boot style that will dominate the streets or our Instagrams. You can expect to see the western boot trend that was all the rage this summer carry over to the fall months, however, with a different color palette. You'll also notice the classic combat boot making a comeback, plus lots of fringe accents and chunky soles. And of course, knee-high boots will reign over autumn, but this year, with a sleeker construction and tinier heels.

Since we are ready to ditch our sandals and wedges, we rounded eight boot styles that will spice up your fall wardrobe and make you look like a trendsetter before everyone retires their bikinis.

Mini Dresses You Can Take From Summer to Fall

Hayle Platform Chelsea Boot

A chunky sole paired with suede accents and stretchy material makes for one solid boot for the fall months.

Sammie Ankle Bootie

Although we are skeptical about the tiny heel trend given our inability to walk like a supermodel in heels that aren't wedges, we do really love this sleek silhouette. The snakeskin version of these booties are pretty rad, too.

Sam Edelman Codie Boot- Pink Confetti Suede Leather

You better believe these babies will be in our closet come fall. They are everything! And if you're wondering if pink booties are appropriate for fall, they are. This season, we'll be seeing lots of pops of color in addition to the traditional autumn color palette of neutrals and rich browns. So go crazy and don't hold back with colored accessories or shoes when you see a pair you like!

Elle Tall Slouch Boots

Our parents told us slouching is bad. However, these slouch boots are a must for your walk to Starbucks to pick up your PSL. Also, the black leather version of these tall boots is equally amazing.

Shelton Combat Boot

Combat boots are for the most part always "in," but every few seasons they are reintroduced in a new way that gets everyone talking. Expect to see people rocking the classic style in a bone leather or neutral hue this season. We are obsessed with this style from Aerosoles!

Schutz Analeah Knee High Western Boot

As seen this summer, cowboy boots are having a moment, and the trend will continue into the fall months. We would definitely wear this croc-embossed style over some denim and pair it with a fun coat or duster jacket.

Ona Fringe Boot

Continuing with the western trend, boots with fringe accents will also be big.

Aldo Oluria Knee High Boot

This boot embodies so many fall trends: stiletto heels, square toes, a knee-high construction and faux crocodile material.
