In his first statement since getting out on $500,000 bail for spousal and child abuse charges, Lee says he won't challenge the divorce petition his wife, actress Pamela Lee, filed last week.
The Mötley Crüe drummer also admits the prospect of losing his family and spending the next four years in prison has made him "very distressed."
He claims he's concerned about the welfare of his two children, eight-week-old Dylan--the one reportedly cradled by Pamela when Tommy allegedly kicked her--and 18-month-old Brandon. Both are currently in Pamela Lee's custody and will remain there per the divorce terms.
Under terms of his bail, Lee cannot have any contact with Pamela and the kids--not even through a third party.
"I am completely devoted to Dylan and Brandon," Lee says. "And it is extremely painful and unsettling for me to be cut off from them at this difficult time."
Lee makes no mention of Pamela, his wife of three years, in the statement.
In addition to the abuse charges, Lee also faces a count of unlawful weapons possession--a violation of probation terms set when he was convicted in January of assaulting a paparazzo. All the counts are felonies. He's due back in court March 13.
Lee, told by his lawyers not to comment on the matter, adds: "I'm asking everyone to please not judge me or the situation until you have heard all the facts."
