Las Vegas goes Hollywood. No, it's not the name of a new variety show at the Tropicana, it's Vegas oddsmaker's Lenny Del Genio's annual predictions of who will get nominated and who will get dissed when the Academy Award nominations are announced February 10.

And who are the faves? Titanic and L.A. Confidential, according to this crib sheet. OK, Lenny, don't go too far out on a limb. According to Del Genio's reckoning, of the top six categories (the four acting categories, plus picture and director), the boat disaster flick will grab nominations in five of those categories while the noirish detective movie will nab four noms.

Del Genio, oddsmaker at the New Frontier Hotel and Casino, cautions that these odds are purely for recreational use (most Las Vegas casinos do not set offical odds on events they feel could be easily rigged). Del Genio has established his line for 15 years after discussions with contacts in and around Hollywood.

While you don't have to be too inside to predict Titanic or L.A. Confidential, Del Genio also calls some mild surprises, like The Full Monty at 10-to-1 for a Best Picture nod, Jessica Lange at 4-to-1 for Best Actress (A Thousand Acres) and Gloria Stuart at even money for Best Supporting Actress for Titanic.
