Clint Eastwood is getting a fistful of diapers for Christmas. His wife, TV anchorwoman Dina Ruiz, gave birth to an 8-lb., 4-oz., 21-inch-long baby girl yesterday. And, if you believe Ruiz's earlier statements, the steely-eyed actor is going to the nanny.

The baby has yet to be named. We don't yet know if this is a nod to the nameless drifter Eastwood played in his spaghetti Western days, or whether the happy couple just hasn't found the perfect moniker yet.

Ruiz, 30, is a newscaster in Salinas, California, and said in September that she plans to continue her career. "Clint's going to be the babsysitter," she said. "His wife will be working five days a week."

Eastwood, 66, and Ruiz were married March 31 at the Las Vegas home of casino magnate Steve Wynn and honeymooned in Hawaii. "It's a honeymoon baby," said Ruiz last fall. "We always planned to have one, I just didn't know it would be nine months after we got married." Apparently Ruiz's math was a bit off.

This is Clint's fifth child. He had two children--actor Kyle Eastwood and model Alison Eastwood--with his former wife, Maggie, whom he divorced in 1978. He also has a child with actress Frances Fisher, a costar in his 1992 Oscar-winning film Unforgiven, and another with actress Roxanne Tunis.

Earlier this year, Eastwood was sued by former lover Sondra Locke. The actor settled out of court.
