Rock of Ages, Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige; David James

We've seen Mary J. Blige team up with musical greats like Bono, Diddy and Prince.

But could the hip-hop superstar be getting ready to record songs with Tom Cruise next?

"If he asks, absolutely!" Blige told us at Variety's Power of Women Luncheon in Beverly Hills, where she was honored for her work with the Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN).

As you may know, Blige and Cruise costar in the upcoming musical flick Rock of Ages. Blige says that the A-list actor would have no problem breaking into the recording industry if he wanted to.

"You guys are going to be blown away," she says of Cruise as his Rock alter ego Stacee Jaxx. "He is insane...he became a rock star. He sang like one, he moved like one, he talked like one. He made us scream when he walked past us."

Hottie costar Diego Boneta agrees.

"Seeing Tom perform on the stage, that's not something that you can learn," Boneta told us at Teen Vogue's Young Hollywood party in L.A. "Rock star comes from within and Tom had it. With preparation and a lot of vocal lessons and all that, he pulled it off [amazingly]. He's Axel Rose. It's really incredible."
