Known for their hard-hitting, leave-no-stone-unturned approach to covering the sorts of news stories they have no business covering, Entertainment Tonight outdid itself over and over again this year with insistent comparisons between the capsizing of the Italian cruise ship Costa Concordia and James Cameron's blockbuster, Titanic…instead of, say, the actual historical event that really happened for realsies. No seriously. There's books about it and stuff.

Perhaps we've been overly unkind to ET over the years because this feels like Mark Steines is just intentionally baiting us now. Well…hook, line, and sinker, Mark. Hook, line and sinker.

Find out if this clip made the cut! Tune into The Soup Clipdown Part 1 on Dec. 26 and Part 2 on Jan. 2.
