As if! This lazy suture of the plots of Heathers and Clueless is, unfortunately, no jawdropper in the humor department. McGowan, as a bitchy distaff version of Christian Slater, snuffs the most popular girl in high school in a prank gone awry and then convinces teen-dream friends Gayheart and Benz to help cover the crime. A fine cast is wasted here and the culprit is writing that lacks the scabrous wit and campy crackle needed to pull this homage off.
In one respect, the movie does resemble the movies it seeks to emulate--director Stein was apparently, like, way clueless when he took on this project.
