It's Take the Money and Run meets The Godfather. Frenetic, funny and fantastic, this savage foreign-language fairy tale about two feuding old Gypsy mobsters and their wayward children is one of the most offbeat comedies to hit the screen in years. A tangled story of double crosses, mislaid money and mistaken identities, the film is populated by larger-than-life characters (Todorovic's bloodthirsty, coke-snorting "businessman," who forces his sister into a shotgun wedding, is a standout).
Powered by a crazed soundtrack and supported by an excellent cast, the film has enough energy and insanity to cause a synaptic misfire. It's genius from start to finish.
