UPDATE: Monica Potter is not pregnant.
After sparking pregnancy speculation with a picture of her stomach on Wednesday, the Parenthood star took to YouTube to clarify that she isn't expecting her fourth child but rather has colitis.
"So, we posted something yesterday about my belly, and thank you for all of the well-wishes—I'm not pregnant. I'm kind of a little old to be pregnant, but you never know. Down the road, who knows," Monica said in a video on Thursday. "But what I wanted to bring to everyone's awareness was some issues that I've been having with my belly, and sometimes these things aren't talked about. Colitis, Crohn's, and getting a colonoscopy to diagnose what's going on with our stomachs and intestinal problems."
The actress then urged viewers to get a colonoscopy and an endoscopy and opened up about her diagnosis.
"I have colitis. I haven't really talked about it. It's not something very glamorous," she said. "I've had to wear adult diapers sometimes driving [my daughter] Molly to school—that's not glamorous either, but I think finding the right healthcare provider and dealing with these issues can prolong your life and also diagnose things that you might not really understand."
Monica also insisted that her previous post was "not meant to be a joke." She revealed that she decided to share her diagnosis after she noticed bloat in her belly.
