Katy Perry is talking about boys again.

But this time around, it's pretty clear she's not opening up about her split from Gym Class Heroes singer Travis McCoy.

Perry revealed at a concert in L.A. this weekend that she first started learning about the opposite sex at a roller-skating rink.

"I used to never even be able to see a boy," the Grammy nominee said to a packed house at the Wiltern. "I didn't even know what a boy was. They were so foreign to me. I used to go roller-skating just so I could see the opposite sex."

And it was there that she suffered her first heartbreak.

"There was this boy...and he never asked me to backward couple skate with him," Perry said. "I was emotionally scarred by 11 or 12 years old."

Perry then launched into "Hokey Pokey."

"That's what relationships are about," she said. "You put one foot in and you put one foot out."

However, the "I Kissed a Girl" songstress has warned her fans not to read too much into her onstage banter. Last month, she shot down reports via her blog that she was referring to McCoy in what seemed like heartfelt remarks she made during an all-acoustic gig at Hollywood's Hotel Café.

Perry and McCoy called it quits around New Year's after about a year of dating.

During her concert this weekend, Perry also explained who inspired her song "Ur So Gay": "I once dated a boy who stole my jeans and wore my mascara," she said. "This was OK. It was fine. It's OK to borrow my toiletries, but just give them back!"
