Does Man of Steel star Henry Cavill live up to his name?
The 33-year-old British actor, who plays Superman, appeared to use his character's superhuman strength while getting into the holiday spirit in a photo posted on his Instagram page Friday. The pic shows Cavill appearing to lift a giant, undecorated Christmas tree outside with one hand.
"Is this really the biggest tree you've got? #ChristmasSpiritActivated #GotElves," Cavill wrote.
Not pictured: What is probably a crane that is doing the heavy lifting for him.
The actor made his debut as Superman in the 2013 movie Man of Steel and reprised his role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
He also plays the part again in Justice League, which is set for release in November 2017, and in a Man of Steel sequel.
"We've been in a five-month period of time where he's re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he's filming [Justice League] now, he's in development for the Superman standalone," his manager told Newsweek in September. "He's beginning to expand that world. It's beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he's going to be a force globally."
