Consider Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik's lyric video foreplay.
As anticipation builds for Fifty Shades Darker's Feb. 10, 2017 release, Swift and Malik's "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is giving fans something to salivate over in the meantime. The pair's lyric video was released Thursday and teased more steamy clips from the film about billionaire CEO Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Jack Hyde's personal assistant Ana Steele (Dakota Johnson).
The video begins with a masked Christian and Ana heading to a ball. The next scene shows the duo flirting with each other over dinner, with Ana making eyes at Christian. Other footage shows the couple sailing on a yacht, hooking up in an elevator and making love in the shower.
Swift and Malik's duet debuted on iTunes Dec. 8, reaching No. 1 within an hour of its release. Swift wrote the song with Sam Dew and Jack Antonoff, the latter of whom produced the track.
As Malik explained in an interview with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show Tuesday, his girlfriend Gigi Hadid played musical matchmaker, given that she's very good friends with Swift. "We were kind of in separate places when I mentioned the idea to her. I spoke to her on the phone," he said. "She had heard the song 'cause Jack had played it to her, so she really liked it."
"She went in the studio the next day to record it," the British pop star said. "She mentioned to me that she liked the song, and I already kind of knew in the back of my head that she liked it."
Malik also stopped by The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM's Hits 1 channel Thursday, where he said the collaboration isn't yet over. "There might be a video coming soon. Watch out for that," Malik said. "Yeah, hopefully [Taylor will film it]. It might be a bit weird if it were someone else."
Fifty Shades Darker—directed by James Foley, written by Niall Leonard and based upon the novel of the same name by E.L.
