Lauren Jauregui turned to Twitter Thursday morning to apologize for missing Fifth Harmony's concert in Saõ Paulo, Brazil Wednesday.
The songstress posted her message in Portuguese, promising to make it up to her beloved fans. "My dear Brazilian harmonizers, I'm sorry I couldn't see you all. I didn't get on the plane on time and because of this I had to go to Atlanta," the message reads in English. "I promise you I'm going to do everything for you because I love each of you with all my heart. I'm sorry."
Jauregui's absence comes shortly after she was stopped by TSA at Washington Dulles International Airport after a staffer discovered marijuana in her carry-on luggage. An attorney for the girl band and Jauregui told E! News that she was not arrested.
"Lauren Jauregui was not arrested and detained as reported, but simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognizance," Dina LaPolt, attorney for the girl band and Jauregui tells E! News. "She will address the matter appropriately through the legal system. This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities."
As soon as the news broke, Harmonizers made #FreeLauren trend on Twitter. The girl group is slated to perform at Power 96.1's Jingle Ball this Friday. Fellow members Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane and Normani Kordei haven't commented on Jauregui's citation, but they did use Twitter to thank their Brazilian fans who attended their concert.
