She may have only come into the spotlight in October, but Meghan Markle just beat out all the other actresses when it comes to Google searches.

Yes, the tech company just released the top Googled names from 2016, and Prince Harry's new girlfriend took the No. 1 spot in the actresses category.

Despite the fact that the Suits star only started making major headlines a little less than two months ago (when it was first confirmed that she is dating the red-headed royal), she beat out other major names like Marion Cotillard, Jodie Sweetin and Alicia Vikander.

As for some of the other popular Google search terms, Brad Pitt—whose divorce from Angelina Jolie made big headlines this year—and Tom Hiddleston—because, Taylor Swift—took the top spots for most-searched actors, while Beyoncé and Céline Dion were the most Googled musicians of the year.

People were also interested in Suicide Squad, Jennifer Lawrence's Oscars red carpet dress, Stranger Things and Rachel Roy (aka the alleged inspiration for "Becky with the good hair").

Overall, the top three biggest search terms went to Powerball, Prince and Hurricane Matthew, while the top three most searched people in general were Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Michael Phelps.

The Olympics and Brexit were some of the biggest pieces of news that people looked into in 2016, and everyone really wanted to know how to play Pokémon Go.

As for the funniest search terms of the year, we have to give praise to "How to make slime" and "Why does my dog lick me?" LOL!
