Drew Barrymore has had quite a roller coaster year in 2016.

The actress divorced her husband of four years, Will Kopelman, in July and has since been working on ways to give more love to all the people in her life, especially her daughters, Frankie and Olive.

In fact, she shared a photo while ice skating with them, and wrote: "These are the loves of my life. All I wanted to do this week was reflect. Think about people and moments that make life make sense to me. That make life amazing. That motivate me to be my best self. I feel so lucky. And after just living the last few days in all things positive, it was good for me to reflect on things that truly make me happy."

She also shared a second photo with a few of her girlfriends who she works out with, explaining how she's channeled her energy into sweating out the negativity.

"Every Monday I work out with my girlfriends and, as female writer Isaac Dennison said, 'There is nothing you can't cure with saltwater. Sweat, tears and the ocean,'" Barrymore began the post. "May I say 2016 has been a most unique year. I have cried a lot this year. I have run to oceans. I have tried to pull it all back together by moving my body until the egg cracks, and the sweat pours out and releases something."

She continued, "I have always been a person who is flawed. I forgive. I fight. But I do not fight with others. I will spend my life trying to give love. And I am always aware and appreciative when I receive it."

Finally, she concluded with some advice for everyone.

"My heart is very open right now," she wrote. "Let us all be as good to each other as we have ever been. 2017, here we come. And yes! I will be arm and arm, with all the #peopleilove."

Meanwhile, Barrymore filed for divorce from Kopelman in July.

The pair released a joint statement, saying, "Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family. Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on. Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority."
