Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood took the stage tonight at the 2016 CMA Awards in Nashville to entertain the audience with a medley of some of our favorite country tunes. Starting with Johnny Cash and June Carter's "Jackson," the pair got everyone excited about what was happening.
Whether it was the celebs nodding and singing along to the songs at the awards show, or fans praising the pair on Twitter, there was no denying the pull Brooks and Yearwood had during their performance.
They also took on Lynn Anderson's "I Beg Your Pardon, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden," Keith Whitley's "Don't Close Your Eyes," and George Jones' "Golden Ring."
The pair married in 2005 and have grown to become one of country music's most famous, powerful and adored couples...and for good reason. Despite being married for 11 years, they still remain totally enamored with one another.
In fact, when Brooks sat down with Ellen DeGeneres in the past, he couldn't help but gush about being married—something you don't often hear.
"I've got to tell you, I never knew it could be like this," Brooks admitted. "I never knew that everyday you could wake up and feel like this. And I have God and I have Ms. Yearwood to thank for this."
The two have also worked together on several tours and musical collaboration that have brought so much joy to country music fans all over the world.
In fact, the couple, who were each inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame in downtown Nashville last year, just announced that they'll be releasing a Christmas duets album later this year and recently released their most recent duet, "Whiskey to Wine."
