If there's one team who knows how to go big on Halloween, it's the hosts on the Today show...and you better believe this year is about to be spooktacular once again!

Yes, Matt Lauer, Savannah GuthrieHoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford, Al Roker and the rest of the team are already preparing for the spooky and fun holiday next week.

In a new promotional video ahead of Halloween on Monday, we see zombies take over New York City as Lauer and Guthrie get excited over Today's "epic" costume reveal during their Halloween party at the plaza. The video takes us back to some of their most famous costumes, including that time Lauer dressed up as Paris Hilton, and promises to be bigger and more frightful than ever before.

Today Show, Halloween

While this year's costumes still remain top secret, Today has always succeeding in impressing us with their choice. For example, last year, the hosts went nuts for the Peanuts, dressing up as Charlie Brown and friends for their 2015 extravaganza.

Roker impressed us when he dressed as the "good grief" protagonist Charlie, while Lauer channeled his feminine side (as he's done in years past) by suiting up as Lucy. Guthrie put on a massive pink dress and blond wig to play Charlie's little sister, Sally, who famously loved blanket-clutching Linus, played by an unrecognizable Carson Daly. Kathie Lee and Hoda went all out as Snoopy and Woodstock.

But that's not even close to the first time they've impressed us with their original and unique costumes. Years before that, they've have taken on everything from the royal family to pop superstars (will we ever forget the time Lauer dressed up as Jennifer Lopez?!) to iconic movie characters and more.

Thus, we can't wait to see what 2016 has in store...our standards are set high!
