Meet Clarita—Alexandre Birman Clarita, a new shoe joining the special class of red-carpet stilettos.

If you're into celeb style, you know the stars have their stand-bys. These particular shoes need to transition well from day to night, are simple in design with just enough detail to make them interesting and, most importantly, are comfortable enough to wear from a red carpet to an event to after-party and beyond.

Chances are you can recognize the current players (Christian Louboutin, Stuart Weitzman, Valentino) from a thigh-high slit away—which means you'll likely become fast-friends with the Clarita (and there'll likely be plenty of knock-offs from fast-fashion brands to come).

Its knots are as much of a signature statement as red soles. The ankle straps are as comfortable as Nudist sandals. And the minimal-yet-feminine design is on par with a pair of Gianvito Rossi Plexi pumps.

Not to mention, we've spotted several celebs already wearing the $600 sandals. It won't be long until the rest of Hollywood—and fashion fiends everywhere—follow suit. But before the Clarita becomes the It shoe of the 2017 red carpet season—and before you scoop up a pair for yourself—here's what you need to know.

The Clarita comes to us from Brazil, born during designer Alexandre Birman's fall 2013 collection. The shoe was first discovered by Vogue, which featured her in the February 2014 issue.

In 2015, Victoria's Secret angel Candice Swanepoel was the first big name to sport a two-tone, orange-and-pink iteration of the sandal. Only weeks later, celebs like Miranda Kerr, Uma Thurman and Reese Witherspoon were spotted wearing a pair.

This year alone, we've caught Gisele Bundchen, Diane Kruger, Gabrielle Union, Gwyneth Paltrow and a crop of fashion editors and influencers hitting the streets in Claritas. Hey, if it's good enough Gwyn, you know it's gold.

The heels might not have the same mass appeal as Stuart Weitzmans or as noticeable as Loubs yet, but with its quality design and growing celeb following, scoop up a pair (if your bank account can afford them, that is) before your favorite colorway is sold out.

And it will sell out.
