Watch: Kendall Jenner Reveals Biggest Modeling Lesson

Kendall Jenner has already launched and secured her incredibly successful modeling career in front of the camera, but now the 20-year-old is looking to do the same behind the lens.

The supermodel is working with Love magazine and the publication's Editor-in-Chief Katie Grand to launch "Love Me," a cross-media search to find "an icon for the next generation," encouraging people to get in touch with them through social media using the hashtag #LoveMe17.

The model they choose will then be photographed by Kendall for the next cover of the publication.

So what type of candidates is Kendall looking for?

"This is not a model competition," the press release for the project reads. "The aim is to find someone who represents something new, meaningful and specific to the current age.  To discover a face that represents the times; a personality that in previous decades might have shone through, but which cannot make it through popular culture in its current state, gridlocked by corporate interests."

As the release explains, the model can be someone who is already in the public eye with a ton of social media followers or someone who is totally unknown. "Everyone is welcome to put themselves forward."

Meanwhile, Kendall already has some experience shooting for Love magazine as she photographed Kaia Gerber in July for the magazine's Autumn/Winer 2016 issue.

It all came together after Grand had enlisted Kendall for several of the issues in the past, and then realized the model also had a knack for photography.

"I'd liked some of her Instagram posts where she had obviously 'composed' the images more thoughtfully than an average snap, so I asked her to take some pictures for the issue," Grand said of the issue. "She jumped at the chance, saying she wanted to photograph and style her friend Kaia Gerber."

Why Gerber? Kendall explained, "I picked Kaia because I think she's amazing and beautiful. I've gotten to know her a bit and she really is such a great young girl with such a good head on her shoulders."

"You could say I'm a fan of hers, and I would love to see her succeed," the model explained. But it wasn't just Gerber who was on the winning end of the shoot.

"This for me was so cool because it really does come full circle: her mom was my idol; I'm shooting my idol's daughter," Kendall added. "I think she has a very bright future and for me to be able to say in the future 'I shot the young Kaia Gerber' will be so cool!"
