(To nobody's) Surprise! Jordan Smith is the winner of The Voice season 9. Yes, Team Adam Levine got the top spot once again. Smith beat out Team Gwen Stefani's Jeffery Austin and Team Blake Shelton's Barrett Baber. Team Blake's Emily Ann Roberts was runner-up.

Surrounded by his family, Smith sang "Climb Every Mountain" through tears while Pharrell Williams looked on in awe. Smith was an early favorite in the competition, wowing the judges with his cover of Sia's "Chandelier" during the blind auditions round. He got a four-chair turn.

This was Levine's first win since season five when Tessanne Chin took home the prize. He previously won the first season with singer Javier Colon.

Take a look at his "Climb Every Mountain" finale moment above and his see performance of "Without You" with The Voice coach Usher.

The Voice will return to NBC in February with Christina Aguilera taking one of the big red chairs once again. "The coaches on The Voice continue to bring incredible energy, unrivaled musical expertise and a want-to-win attitude that makes for the perfect ingredients of a two-time Emmy-winning show," said Paul Telegdy, president of late night and alternative programming at NBC Entertainment. "We can't wait to see what season 10 will bring."
