Fans were more than excited to have the "Rolling in the Deep" singer deliver a rare performance at this weekend's X-Factor U.K. finale.
What they weren't expecting, however, was a dramatic new haircut to take center stage at Wembley Stadium. While performing her hit single "Hello" in Harry Winston Diamonds, the 27-year-old showed off her shorter style with a little less curls and a lot shorter length.
Coldplay later performed "Adventure of a Lifetime" while One Direction sang "Infinity" and "History" before beginning their hiatus.
Adele's latest appearance comes one day before her concert special will air on NBC. While the show was taped before her dramatic haircut, viewers can still expect some powerful performances from the Grammy winner.
For those who insist on seeing her live, you may just have to wait a little while longer. Back in November, the proud mom announced a new European tour. She will begin this coming February with a stop in Northern Ireland.
"Hello, it's me," she shared with her followers. "I have been bluffing this whole time and I'm so relieved to finally tell you that I am, of course, coming on tour and I can't wait to see all of you there, so see you all very, very soon!"
In the meantime, we're still crossing our fingers and toes for some U.S. dates sooner rather than later.
