AKM-GSI Friendly exes indeed!
Despite announcing their separation in September, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger have remained friends and continue to hang out every now and again.
In fact, the former couple was spotted leaving the Sunset Marquis in Hollywood on Thursday night, both donning major smiles as they left the nightclub.
Avril looked comfortable and cute in a gray Twisty onesie made by Onepiece with green and black high-tops, rocking her blonde locks swept over to one side. Chad, on the other hand, donned an unbuttoned plaid shirt with dark pants.
A source tells E! News Avril stopped to sign an autograph for a fan before hopping into the passenger seat of Chad's car.
While this certainly could look like a step in the right direction toward a rekindled romance between the two rockers, a second source tells us things are heating up between Avril and Ryan Cabrera.
Though we were informed that the two are just "roommates" and Ryan even took to Twitter to tell his fans not to "buy the bulls—t," the insider says they are definitely more than friends.
Meanwhile, Chad and Avril called it quits just a few months ago. The "Complicated" singer released a statement saying: "It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."
They have obviously stayed true to that fact. Other than hanging out together this week, Avril and Chad have also been spotted a few times over the last couple months. In October, the duo shared some snaps on social media while working together to write some new music.
