Lucius' secrets and lies have finally caught up with him.
In a clip from tonight's all-new episode of The Royals, Queen Helena confronts her trusted servant about the whereabouts of her lover, Captain Alistair Lacey, after he goes missing. She starts by inviting Lucius to have a glass of whiskey before interrogating him.
"The strangest thing happened at the ceremony today," she says, testing him. "I saw Alistair in the crowd."
"That's not possible," he responds. When she asks why, he continues, "I looked everywhere for Captain Lacey. If he made onto the palace grounds, I would know."
But Queen Helena can see right through his deceit. "That's not why you're so certain I couldn't have seen him today," she says.
