What's in a name?

All eyes were on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to name their second child as unique a name as their firstborn, North West, and the famous couple definitely didn't disappoint.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star announced earlier today that she and her rapper hubby named their son Saint West and also revealed that the little bundle of joy weighed in at 8 lbs., 1 oz.

Now, we know what you may be thinking, how did the duo decided on Saint for their son's name? Well, a source tells E! News that Kim's highly publicized, rocky pregnancy was one of the biggest influences in choosing their baby boy's moniker.

Our insider shared that Saint was picked since it's akin to saying he is "a blessing," especially "because she had such a difficult pregnancy."

Interestingly enough, as of just a few weeks ago , Kim told E! News exclusively that she hadn't picked out any names just yet.

"We just started talking about it and that was the last thing for us last time. So I feel confident obviously that we'll figure it out," she explained. And that they did!

On Dec. 5, this past Saturday, the 35-year-old announced that she had given birth to her wee one.

"Kanye and I welcome our baby boy," she wrote with a picture of the couple holding hands. "Mother and son are doing well."
