The Mindy Project star joined The Tonight Show on Thursday, wearing a similar metallic David Koma ensemble to the one that Reese donned at the ACM Awards earlier this year.
Mindy put her own twist on the look, adding a long black skirt over the crystallized top and accessorizing with closed-toe strappy heels and minimal jewelry. Reese, on the other hand, opted for the fit-and-flare mini version of the dress, showing off her stems while pairing it with T-strap heels and a chunky, silver cuff.
Of course, we're sure Reese won't mind that Mindy stole a bit of inspiration from her style. The two are good friends and have often been spotted grabbing lunch together in Los Angeles. They even interviewed one another at the Brentwood School's Young Women's Conference last year and gave us all the feels with their adorkable conversation.
Speaking of dorkiness, Mindy chatted on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon about her book, Why Not Me? But she also couldn't help from gushing about another hobby: Star Wars.
In fact, one of chapters in her book is dedicated to how she messes with Star Wars fans by pretending she knows nothing about the franchise.
"What's Star Wars? What's Hans Solo?" she jokingly imitates herself. "Who's Luke Skywalker? What's his deal? I'm too busy getting my nails done! I'm an actress!"
She continues, laughing, "On the Venn Diagram of the people who are interested in Star Wars and the people who are interested in my deal, there's a very slim overlap."
Despite that little fact, Mindy will be moderating a panel with the Star Wars cast soon. Though she took on the gig with hopes of seeing the film early, the actress will have to wait until Dec. 18 to watch with the rest of us.
