Starbucks Is Offering Delivery Now, but There's Something Else You Should Know

There's a very big catch.

Starbucks, why must you toy with our hearts?

The coffee company just made a major announcement: Delivery is coming. That's right, delivery. And all you have to do is press a few buttons on your cell phone.

According to a release, Starbucks will be debuting the feature on its app starting right now. The delivery will be done in tandem with Postmates, the heavenly service that has been bringing us all Chipotle on hungover Sundays for months now. (Remind us to send them a Christmas card or something).

But now that you've heard all the good news, it's time for the catch—and the reason why we're a little ticked off at Starbucks right now. Delivery is only available to residents of Seattle. And technically, it's not even offered to everyone in the Emerald City; you'll have to live in downtown Seattle, South Lake Union, Capitol Hill, Madison Park or Sodo to get your piping hot lattes without putting on pants.

And there's more. The lucky people of those Seattle neighborhoods will have to endure 30-60-minute delivery times and a $5.99 delivery fee in order to enjoy their Starbucks. Now you understand why Starbucks is such a tease, don't you?

But on the bright side, this could be just a first step. If all goes well in the Pacific Northwest, there's a chance Starbucks could expand delivery elsewhere—hopefully without the fees and wait times.

We're all counting on you, Seattle.
