Louis Tomlinson

Louis Tomlinson sent fans everywhere into a frenzy of wondering whether or not the One Direction crooner may have a new gig.

The 23-year-old took to Twitter today to share his excitement over the new U.K. season of The X Factor, and while this may seem completely routine, it caused 1D fans to wonder if he'll be joining the show this season as a judge.

"So does X Factor start tonight/today?" Louis tweeted out to his 20.2 million followers, receiving an influx of questions as to whether or not he'll be appearing on the show in return.

"Just the premiere tonight then ha! Got my days mixed up!" he tweeted out again. "Can't Wait for it to start!!"

So do we think he'll be hopping on this season as a judge? A show source couldn't confirm or deny, but the insider does tell E! News, "He just seems to be looking forward to the new series."

However, joining the X Factor is a definite possibility for Louis considering One Direction's upcoming hiatus, and there have been whisperings of a possible role for Louis on the show. A source told E! News the band is taking a break to "work on individual projects for a while," and it wouldn't be too crazy to think one of them would join the show on which they garnered massive fame…right?

The only thing that might prevent the boy-bander from starting a new project is the fact that he's expecting a baby with Briana Jungwirth and is taking the whole process very seriously. Joining a television show might take time away from getting ready to be a dad.

Meanwhile, Harry Styles may also be planning to take on a new gig. A source told E! News exclusively that the 21-year-old hunk is thinking about starting a career in acting.

"He is not openly looking for stuff either but is open to offers," the insider revealed.

Though we desire nothing more than the 1D boys serenading us with their beautiful music, at least they'll still be active in public during this little hiatus.
