Fear of the Walking Dead

Frank Ockenfels 3/AMC

You don't have to wait until Sunday for your first taste of Fear The Walking Dead—the first three minutes are right here! AMC released the opening scene for The Walking Dead's anticipated companion series on Facebook and it's racking up views.

In the scene, which you can watch below, Harry Potter actor (yes, that's Tom Riddle from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) Frank Dillane awakens in a drug den only to find everybody is dead. Yeah, that's not a bad high, Gloria isn't there anymore. She's a zombie. Side note: Whose drug den is in a church?

WORLDWIDE EXCLUSIVE: #FearBeginsHere this Sunday at 9/8c.

Fear The Walking Dead stars Dillane as Nick Clark, the troubled son of Kim Dickens' Madison Clark and brother to Alycia Debnam-Carey's Alicia Clark. Cliff Curtis plays Madison's boyfriend Travis Manawa. Orange Is the New Black's Elizabeth Rodriguez also stars.

The new show takes place before the events of The Walking Dead with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) still in a coma in Atlanta. The show is set in Los Angeles. Imagine the traffic during a zombie apocalypse. Damn.

Fear not, Fear The Walking Dead has already been renewed for a second season on AMC and like its predecessor, it will be longer, going from six episodes in season one to 15 episodes in season two.

Fear The Walking Dead's 90-minute premiere airs Sunday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
