Same, kid. Same.

Summer is ending, officially. Kids are going back to school and the carefree months of sun, sleeping in and Instagram shots of your legs while lying on the beach are all but a distant memory. And if anyone can adequately sum up everyone's feelings about the death of summer, it's this guy.

When KTLA reporter Courtney Friel asked 4-year-old Andrew Macias if he was excited for his first day of kindergarten, she got a pretty enthusiastic "yes" from the little boy who was just starting out at City Terrace Elementary School. But when she asked him if he was going to miss his mom, the wheels really started falling off.

Either the kid is going to say "no" and break his mom's heart or he's going to say "yes" and immediately be labeled a mama's boy before he even enters the playground. It's kind of a lose-lose situation. So little Andrew just decided to burst into tears on camera, which we're pretty sure is everyone's reaction as the calendar flips closer to back-to-school day.

Winter is coming. Let us cry together.
