The Wiz Live! has found its heart and its brain!

NBC has landed three more major stars for the highly anticipated live event on Dec. 3, the network's chairman Bob Greenblatt announced at the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour on Thursday.

"Ne-Yo is going to be playing the Tin Man, Elijah Kelley will be playing the Scarecrow, and Common will be playing the non-singing comedic role of the gatekeeper to Oz," Greenblatt revealed.

The Wiz will reunite Kelley with Queen Latifah, as the duo starred in 2007's Hairspray. As the Scarecrow, Kellley will be the first of the three friends to meet Dorothy and who has always dreamed of having brains, but never realizing that he's the smartest of them all.

Ne-Yo's Tin Man, meanwhile, is described as a former flesh-and-blood woodsman who had a spell put on him by the Wicked Witch, which caused him to lose his limbs and heart. He learns that he's never lost the ability to feel.

Common, who won an Oscar for his original song with John Legend for the film Glory, as the Bouncer is the gatekeeper to Oz who is is out to get what he can from Dorothy and her three friends.

The trio are just the latest to join the live event's line-up that includes Orange Is the New Black's Uzo Aduba (as Glinda the Good Witch), Glee's Amber Riley (Addaperle), Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige and David Alan Grier, as well as newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy. Blige will play Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West (and the sister of Glinda and Addaperle!), while Latifah will be playing the infamous Wizard. The Cowardly Lion will be played by Grier.

As E! News recently reported, the network was courting Beyoncé for the role of Glinda, with sources telling us it was between her and Aduba for the coveted role.

The Wiz Live! will air on NBC on Thursday, December 3.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBC Universal family.)
