Lady Gaga didn't need to die to find her heaven, it's a place called the American Horror Story: Hotel set. The pop singer is part of an A-list cast for the FX drama's upcoming fifth season that will take place in a hotel, obviously.

"Thoughts on first day shooting for AHS? I say, I've died and gone to my personal heaven," she tweeted with a few emojis (below).

Based on what we know and have seen of the show, well, the AHS: Hotel set is what we'd want heaven to look like too. Maybe just without the murdering, but please keep all the handsome men.

Gaga will star opposite Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Cheyenne Jackson, Finn Wittrock, Denis O'Hare, Chloe Sevigny and more. And from what we learned about her role, well, it does sound heavenly.

"[Gaga] willl play a character who has relationships with Angela and Matt ," AHS mastermind Ryan Murphy told reporters at TCA. "She's playing the owner of the hotel. A wealthy social doyenne. She's consumed with art and fashion and people, and she has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode. She starts working on Monday."

Let that sink in: Lady Gaga + Angela Bassett + Matt Bomer + nefarious plan = ♥ ♥ ♥

"In the first two days, she has a pretty spectacular murder scene with Matt Bomer," Murphy said. From the sounds of her tweet, it seems the murder scene went well! The rest of the cast began filming since late July.

American Horror Story: Hotel is set in modern times and will be connected to past seasons. "You will see people from various seasons check into the hotel. People you have known from other seasons. The characters all being connected in some way is really fun to write to. You'll see that starting in episode six or seven. There are some big ones this year," Murphy said.

Could this be how we get a Jessica Lange guest appearance?! This season could be set before or during AHS: Coven, can you imagine Frances Conroy returning as Myrtle Snow? This season does have a lot of fashion aspects to it. BALENCIAGA!

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 on FX.
