Somebody should tell Justin Bieber that bench pressing and body oil do not go together!
In any case, though, the 21-year-old pop star is shirtless (and a little bit shiny) in Cosmopolitan's September issue. As you can see, the buff Biebs seems to be resting between sets here, but he didn't just strip down for the mag—he shared some surprising facts about himself, too. Like, for example, that he would really like to collaborate with John Mayer!
His favorite summer song is Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," and his go-to for karaoke is The Beatles' "Let It Be." He tells Cosmopolitan the sexiest thing about a woman is "her attitude," but he's learned one thing for sure about the opposite sex: "They are complicated."
This is actually something Justin plans to address in his new single "What Do You Mean," which comes out Aug. 28. He tried to explain that mysterious song title last week on On Air With Ryan Seacrest, saying, "Well, girls are often just flip-floppy, they say something and they mean something else."
So do the ladies end up telling Justin what they mean? "I don't really know," he said. "That's why I'm asking."
That's a little confusing, perhaps, but have no fear. Justin promises that "What Do You Mean" is "amazing," saying, "I worked really hard on it."
Fans, of course, are already counting down to the day Justin releases this new music. Even Shaquille O'Neal is excited, although as Justin noted on Twitter Wednesday afternoon, his "big bro" misspelled his name!
Just remember, Shaq: It's "I before E, except after C"—and of course, when you're spelling out Bieber.
