Pregnant Bristol Palin Flaunts Baby Bump in Bathroom Selfie: Take a Look

Sarah Palin's daughter is currently expecting her second child

Bristol Palin is glowing as she approaches her third trimester. 

The 24-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, who is expecting her second child, took to Instagram on Sunday to show off her growing baby bump, posting a side-by-side shot of her pregnant belly. 

"#5months..." the soon-to-be mother of two captioned the shot in which she's sporting ripped jeans and a matching red mani-pedi.

Palin, who is already a mom to 6-year-old Tripp, announced her pregnancy last month in a blog post on her website Patheos. The reality star, who called off her wedding in May to 26-year-old Marine Dakota Meyer days before the two were scheduled to tie the knot, has yet to reveal the identity of her baby-to-be's father.

"Honestly, I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one," she wrote in her pregnancy announcement. "At the end of the day there's nothing I can't do with God by my side, and I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace..."

Palin's first pregnancy drew national attention when it was announced on the opening day of the 2008 Republican National Convention after her mother was chosen as John McCain's vice presidential running mate. She welcomed Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston in December 2008 when she was just 18 years old and was previously engaged twice to Tripp's father, Levi Johnston, although the two split for good in 2010. 

"I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you," she continued in her blog post. "But please respect Tripp's and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy."

Amid backlash, Palin clarified her comments and revealed this pregnancy was planned. 

"I made a mistake, but it's not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume. This pregnancy was actually planned..." she wrote. "But I do not regret this baby. This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!!"
