Just in time for the latest big screen attempt at a Fantastic Four movie, Screen Junkies wants to remind us of the fail train that was the 2005 version and it's "crappy" sequel.
"At a time when comic book movies began to show how good they can be, two films will remind us how badly they can suck."
As the voiceover guy points out, a great Fantastic Four movie is totally possible: It's called The Incredibles, and it's perfect.
However Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) stand to remind us that not all big budget superhero flicks are guaranteed winners.
Evil space cloud villains, super-boring settings, and stilted dialogue don't do these films any favors.
But, as the narrator points out, these films did pave the way for a Chris Evans Captain America... so something positive came out of them.
Best of luck to Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan & co. for the reboot's opening this Friday. The bar has been set (and it's low!)
