Happy back to school season! If you get to go shopping for school supplies, we are so jealous! No one liked going back to school after a summer vacation, but damned if we didn't love picking out new notebooks, the satisfying sound that comes with opening a brand new Trapper Keeper and choosing the perfect set of glitter gel pens.

Twitter wasn't around when we had back-to-school woes, but now that it is, people on social media are using its power to teach others about the lesson they learned in school that had nothing to do with a classroom. Using the #IfAnythingSchoolTaughtMe hashtag, Twitter users spun tales about the importance of procrastination, how dress codes are actually really harmful, how learning outside the classroom is necessary and why you must always, always respect the nerds. Those are the ones who grow up to run this joint. Or they grow up to be extremely hot and then you get a sexy, smart, nerdy person…and that's the dream spouse!

To celebrate (mourn) the end of summer vacation and the return to Scantron sheets (do they still use those?!), here are the 50 most important lessons that everyone learned in the hallowed halls of school:
