As if we needed another reason to love the one, the only, Sir Ian McKellen, well now we thankfully do.

The 76-year-old is delighting fans once again, this time with a video of himself making one of his favorite breakfasts ever: scrambled eggs.

Now, we know what you may be thinking: how hard could that really be?! Well, if you're not doing it the McKellen way, then you're just not doing it right.

The Brit posted the clip "Live from Chateau Marmont in Hollywood" to celebrate the success of his new flick, Mr. Holmes.

During the intro, he tells his Facebook followers that he's about to "scramble up the best eggs in the world." Now that's a tall order, one that we know he'll handle with ease.

"Like all good recipes, it's a family one. It comes from my stepmother Gladys. These scrambled eggs don't separate and they can be however you want them to be," he explains.

So what are the McKellen family secret tips to making successful scrambled eggs?

Well, for one, you mix everything in the actual pot you're cooking in. And you use half and half, none of this silly fat-free milk nonsense.

The other "essential ingredient" is one that's near and dear to our hearts: butter.

Add some ground pepper and salt and you're good to go, so long as you keep stirring and watching!

"I think the more you stir, the creamier these eggs are going to be," McKellen shared. And just watch that sir stir!

But don't take our word for it, check out the video above and take notes!
