InstagramKylie Jenner wants to remind you that what you see on her social media feeds are nothing but a censored version of her real life.
The 17-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has more than 30 million followers on Instagram and more than 10.5 million followers on Twitter. She's also wildly popular on Snapchat. She often posts photos and videos of herself, many of them racy, others just controversial. A like millions of users, she also shares pics of her family and other everyday activities.
"That's what's wrong with today," Kylie tweeted on Friday. "If you don't show or 'prove' to social media that you've done something it's like it never happened!"
"My reality is...I only show people what I want them to see," she continued. "No one knows what goes on in my day to day but me & who I share my moments with."
She also took the opportunity to respond to her critics.
"In a community you want to be a part of so bad," one user said.
"This just proves my point :)" she replied.
Kylie made her comments days after she and sister Kendall Jenner, 19, graduated high school. Ryan Seacrest, executive producer of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, recently hosted a party held in their honor.
Kylie, who turns 18 on Aug. 10, shared several Snapchat videos from the bash, including a clip of her doing a naughty dance.
Her family posted a slew of photo booth pics of themselves on Instagram, which show mom Kris Jenner, 59, sister Khloé Kardashian, 31, pregnant sister Kim Kardashian, 34, her husband Kanye West, 38, their 2-year-old daughter North West, and others.
"I love my mom for doing this," Kylie said on Instagram, alongside a pic of herself holding her diploma. "Thank you for making this experience as normal as possible for me. Yay I graduated :)"
