So you want to be hip with the cool kids? You want to be down with the youths of today? Great, let's talk about VidCon!

What's that? You have some questions? We bet they are something like:

What is VidCon?
Who the hell goes to VidCon?
Why would going to VidCon make me cool with teenagers?

We're here to help! First of all, it's totally normal to feel old when you hear "VidCon," because it is a convention geared toward the younger crowd. And it's also perfectly acceptable to not know anything about the people we're going to talk about. These names might actually sound like gibberish. Like we said, the convention featuring YouTube stars is not just a casual con attendee.

Vidcon is basically exactly like it sounds: A convention all about videos, or more specifically, the stars of the viral video world. Vines, Periscope, YouTube…all that. This is where those vloggers and online personalities go to meet fans. Or, to have it described by the VidCon organizers themselves:

"Creating an event for something so wildly diverse and rapidly evolving may be an impossible task, but it is one we attempt anyway, and with excitement, because we believe that online video is the most important cultural force since the motion picture. We believe deeply that we are in the very early, defining moments of an extremely powerful global force. VidCon strives to be the physical center of that revolution."

Deep, right? VidCon is also a place where aspiring video personalities go to learn more about the craft with panels and workshops like "Responsibility to a Younger Audience" and "Vlogging: Standing Out & Finding Your Style."

So VidCon is taking over the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California this weekend, and it's a huge deal for the online generation. And if you are interested in who the big stars are at VidCon, like the Game of Thrones at Comic-Con, here are the 15 video celebs people are dying to see:
