Aside from Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen as Michelle Tanner there was one character fans were wondering about when it came to Full House's revival series Fuller House: Steve Hale, DJ Tanner's boyfriend. Wonder no more! Actor Scott Weinger took to Twitter to announce his return to the Tanner world.

"This is not a drill, people," he tweeted along with a photo of his script. "This is happening!"

STEVE LIVES!

Weinger played Steve Hale on Full House from 1991-1995. Fans were worried about the state of Steve and DJ when the show description for Fuller House debuted. In the series, DJ Tanner Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) is a widow with two kids and one on the way. She turns to best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) and sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) to help raise her family.

John Stamos, who is on board as executive producer alongside Full House's Robert L. Boyett, Thomas L. Miller and Jeff Franklin, will appear as Uncle Jesse in a guest star capacity. The first episode of Fuller House will also feature appearances by Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin and Dave Couiler reprising their Full House roles. But it won't be a complete Tanner family reunion. Mary-Kate and Ashley decided not to participate in the series.

"Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," executive producer Boyett said in a statement. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House."

Weinger is now a writer and producer having scripted episodes of black-ish, Galavant and 90210.

Do you think Steve and DJ will get back together? Is their love alive?
