Five years ago this Friday, the country star and NHL hunk said "I do." Time has flown by—they're parents to baby Isaiah now, too—but it seems like these two are grateful for each and every moment they've shared.
Mike, 35, wished a happy anniversary to his "better half" Carrie, 32, on Twitter. "Can't believe it's 5 yrs already!" he wrote. "Here's to many more happy years!"
Carrie has yet to respond with a social media post of her own (the day's not over, y'all!), but she'll likely have something sweet to say about her handsome hubby.
Family life is very important to the American Idol alum, and it has been since before she and Mike welcomed baby Isaiah this past February.
"You just have to make that your number one priority," she told People in 2013. "You see each other when you can and you talk to each other as much as you can. You just have to commit and make it work."
And although Carrie seems to be doing a great job balancing work and family life so far, she'd have no problem making a decision if she ever had to decide between her career and her marriage. "If Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I'd quit," she told People. "When you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work."
Carrie and Mike seem to have a good handle on this so far! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Fisher on five years down and many, many more to come.
