Even though Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are getting divorced, the two stars are making one strong effort to stay united for their children, which includes taking a family trip to their vacation home in the Bahamas after announcing their split.

Although they're keeping things cordial for their children, the photo shows the tense emotions shared between the strained couple. Sitting next to each other on a set of steps, Affleck and Garner look tense as they seem to be having an intense discussion that results in both of them looking away from each other.

It appears that Affleck is still wearing his wedding ring, while Garner doesn't seem to have hers on. A source told People that they "seemed to be cordial to each other. They would look at each other and speak and then both look away in silence," the onlooker added.

"A lot of the time, they seemed to just stare off into space."

Even though the family has been going to this particular "private and special location" for years, the trip was short-lived, as both parents had to be back in the U.S. for work. Affleck left July 3 to be in California for San Diego's Comic-Con with his Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice co-stars, while the Alias alum departed July 5 for Atlanta to film Miracles From Heaven.

Both very busy with their own schedules, Garner and Affleck continue to put in their best efforts, as the Argo star was spotted jet setting to Atlanta to be with her. E! News has learned that the 42-year-old actor is living in a guesthouse on Garner's, 43, rental property in the southern city.

They're really proving what they said in their joint statement, that they're moving "forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children." One source previously told E! News that their split was "not contentious," and they both just want what's best for their three children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.

The couple was married for 10 years, although sources told us that they had actually been separated for about 10 months. Moving forward, Affleck will reside at their Brentwood property but in a separate house. The Daredevil co-stars are planning on settling their split through mediation so that they don't have to go to court.
