Can you believe it's been six months since Blake Lively gave birth to her first child with husband Ryan Reynolds?

The proud papa, who recently celebrated his very first Father's Day, was busy making the talk show rounds on Tuesday morning, stopping by both Live! With Kelly and Michael and Today in NYC to promote his latest film Self/less, where he also dished on his daughter James and gushed over the wee one.

"She's great, man. She's great," the 38-year-old father of one revealed to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan of his baby girl. "They [Blake and James] are in Bangkok right now. I just got back. That is the worst jetlag on Earth because it's the exact opposite."

Asked if his bundle of joy is sleeping through the night, Reynolds replied, "Oh, yeah, it's all good now. She's sleeping" (he did, however, admit that Blake wholeheartedly disagrees).

As for whether James has started talking?

"We're getting a lot of sounds, nothing that sounds like discernible English at this point," he quipped before adding, "I'm mocking her a lot."

During his chat with Today, the Green Lantern star also addressed the recent backlash with regards to an Instagram pic Lively posted in honor of Father's Day which sees Reynolds holding their daughter in a baby carrier. The image generated a fair amount of criticism as commenters were quick to point out that James is not strapped in to the carrier properly.

"The baby is not properly secured in the vessel that I'm wearing there. And, you know, I'm a first time dad. And that is not the first mistake I've made," he admitted. "And I can guarantee it won't be the last."

He added: "I had never used that particular carrier before so every other time it's been perfect."
