Cycle House, Kardashians and charity? Count us in!

The leading lady of Cycle House and star of E!'s new series Hollywood Cycle premiering tonight at 10/9c, Nichelle Hines, chatted with us about the show, her cycling experience, advice to first time riders and a special fundraiser! Check out the exclusive scoop:

What three words would you use to describe Hollywood Cycle?

"Sexy. Inspiring. Fast-Paced."

How did you originally get involved in cycling?

"Well, I was 206 pounds at one point in my life. I needed to do something about that. My father was a big indoor cycling fan, I just jumped into a class at the gym and I was instantly hook. I think when you can find something that you actually enjoy and look forward to, stick with that. I stumbled into teaching completely and totally by accident. I actually became an instructor when an instructor didn't show up at the gym. The manager of the gym ran into the room and said, ‘Nichelle teach the class right now.' The rest is history."

What advice do you give to first-time riders?

"Try not to be afraid. It's okay to be nervous, but be nervous but willing. Everybody had a first time in an indoor cycling class. I'll be like ‘Guys, you remember your first time? And they're like ugh!' So, don't worry about it. If you don't know what you're doing, don't worry about it. Just try!"

What is it like working so closely to your brother, Aaron?

"It's actually fantastic. We truly have a special, incredible relationship. We're siblings but I can say with all honesty, and I think you see that on the show, he's one of my best friends. The only problem I've ever had with Aaron is with the girls at Cycle House. It's actually so much fun, unless he's dating a student or a trainee. But, I will tell you, it's a joy, it really is. I feel so lucky."

What can you tell us about the DASH fundraiser coming up at Cycle House?

"It's going to be amazing. Ok so we are doing a DASH ride for the American Cancer Society, we're raising money. So last year we did No Kids Hungry with Dash and it was a huge success. We did one ride. This year, because last year was so successful, we're doing three rides! The entire alley where you see Hollywood Cycle being shot, you can get your makeup done after class, your nails done. I'm teaching one, Aaron's teaching one and Nick's teaching one. And I'm not going to say who or which one or when but it's looking real good that one of the Kardashian girls are going to be in one of those spots. So the question is which class and which sister? The good news is you might see her on her way out, or you might even be in the class with her! It's only $55 a seat and that's your ticket to all the festivities and all that money is going towards the American Cancer Society, so it's awesome."
