Is This Jennifer Lopez's Response to News of Ben Affleck's Divorce?

Original Bennifer called it quits in 2003

Lest we forget, the original Bennifer broke up close to 12 years ago.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are of course each a marriage and mutiple children removed from the days when their mega-high-profile relationship and subsequent breakup in 2003 was making headlines, so Lopez very likely couldn't care less that Affleck and Jennifer Garner are divorcing after 10 years together.

But maybe J.Lo had a little free time on her hands.

"Happiness," Lopez tweeted alongside a photo of her hugging daughter Emme yesterday.

Sweet, simple and...coincidental?

While her tweet a little before news of Ben's split broke, just because the rest of the world didn't know yet doesn't mean that Lopez wasn't in the inner-circle loop.

Of course, it could easily mean nothing, other than exactly what it does mean, regardless of subtext. Holding her little girl is the essence of happiness, period. (While other people's life events at the moment might be a little unsettling...)

J.Lo didn't bother keeping a low profile today, either, in the wake of the news—in fact, she and on-again beau Casper Smart went on a rather public dog walk in New York City, at one point practically posing for photographers on a bench in Madison Square Park.

Meanwhile, it's not as though Lopez and Affleck haven't been able to let bygones be bygones after the dating-Gigli-Jersey Girl days. Their brief whisper-and-arm-swat interaction at the Oscars in February had us all wishing we were a speck of lint on Ben's tux. (Partly because he whispered in Bradley Cooper's ear shortly afterward, too, to be honest.)

Their "reunion" came after Lopez flatly called the period of her life circa Gigli the "worst, probably lowest point" of her career.

"It was a very badly reviewed film," she said on HuffPost Live. "I was in a high-profile relationship at the time that fell apart in a really bad way, and so the kind of mix of those two things and the tabloid press had just come into existence at the time, so I was like a poster child for that moment. I was in the tabloids every other week about how my life was falling apart. It was a tough time."

And with experience usually comes empathy, and Lopez knows what it's like to have the spotlight glaring on your personal life—so she surely feels for whomever might be going through such a thing at this time.
