Demi Lovato Goes Blond, Almost Gets Held Up At Airport Security as a Result

Hot off the heels of unveiling tracks from her upcoming album ahead of schedule, Demi Lovato is surprising us yet again, this time by debuting her blond 'do.

We almost didn't recognize the X-Factor judge at when she recently stepped out with lighter locks at a Washington, D.C., event, where she was being honored by the Substance Abuse and Services Administration. 

And we weren't the only ones to do a double-take because of the star's dramatically different look. It turns out, the normally dark-haired beauty ran into a little trouble while traveling, thanks to her blond tresses.

"Almost didn't make it through airport security!!" she shared on Twitter. "I look SO different from my driver's license!! Hahaha #blondehairdon'tcare."

Guess blondes don't always have more fun! But we wouldn't head into the DMV just yet if we were Lovato. The beauty chameleon has admitted to loving to switch up her style, and just last month, she sheared her long strands in favor of the oh-so-trendy bob.
